New York City
|
New York City is a one of a kind town...and yes, their are parts of this town that NEVER sleep. 9 million people, 5 boroughs (Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island), 3 area airports (LGA, JFK and EWR) and thousands of experiences for you see, learn, eat, and do. First things, first. Getting here is easy. By plane NY sightseers arrive at JFK, Laguardia and Liberty International in Newark, N.J. The Port Authority Bus Terminal is where most buses from all over he country drop off passengers. Some regional services (like Bolt Bus and others) have other drop off points like Madison Square Garden, The financial district or Chinatown. Geography of NYC is also very easy to understand. Statistically speaking, the island of Manhattan is where most tourist spend their time. The major tourist neighborhoods (where a lot of attractions are located) include: midtown, Chelsea, the upper east side, the upper west side, Chinatown, SoHo, Greenwich Village and the financial district. But, remember, over the years, the other boroughs have been spiffing up their tourist offerings, so spend dome time outside Manhattan and you'll see a New York most locals experience every day. Below is a list of articles to help plan a NYC trip. We add to it frequently, so check back as you plan. |
