I honestly believe everyone on the planet should visit Orlando, Walt Disney World and Universal Studios at least once during his or her life. Just not on the same day. I’ve been countless times since I was a kid and the folks at Disney work really hard to make your day great no matter what your age. With four theme parks, you will never ever be bored – Magic Kingdom, Disney-Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and the Animal Kingdom are all fantastic. You can try to save some money by staying outside the Park, but if you take a little time to shop around you can almost always find a good deal at one of the Disney hotels. I happen to have a thing for the Wilderness Lodge, don’t ask me or my raccoon cap why. Other favorites include the Aerosmith Roller Coaster, Everest, and Space Mountain! If you like meat-on-a-stick (and who doesn’t?) head over to Polynesian Village for dinner. And if you need a more adult get away after the sun goes down, Downtown Disney has a House of Blues and plenty of places to kick back and relax with a glass of wine or a fruity cocktail. Downtown Disney is where you'll find the largest Disney store in the world, so if you absolutely must have Mickey-shaped pasta, this is where you’ll find it.
Aside, from Disney, there are literally hundreds of attractions in or around Orlando, including my favorite: Sea World and Universal Studios. And, yes, you do have to go to Gatorland, it's truly a sight! What can be said about Florida weather, it is beautiful year-round and a PERFECT spot for a weekend or a ten day extravaganza! I look forward to my next trip to Orlando because no matter how many times I go, I always find a new “favorite” that I am certain to return to.
