The Hoover Dam is one of the most fascinating man-made structures in the world. Its size, its weight, its practical uses will make for thought-provoking day trip. Sure, it's a "structure", but as you walk through it, on or around it, you too will marvel at its existence. The Bureau of Reclamation has conducted tours through the Hoover Dam and power plant since 1937. Today, close to 1,000,000 visitors a year take the tour and millions more drive across the dam. Basically there are three different tour tickets you can purchase. The least expensive one id under 15 dollars. The Hoover Dam is open every day of the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. |
